The Language of Teamwork
Here is the first basic list of in game Battle Chat communications. It will be refined over time but for now print this bad boy out and begin to use it in game to tell your positions and targets. Use the base numbering system on the smaller maps (larger too if you can remember them) and be sure to know what's happening at all times
Soldiers, IF they can be identified should be added, example: Assault, AT, Medic, etc, otherwise just refer to them as a mark and try to spot him as you fire. Vehicles likewise should be specific like tanks, APCs Jeeps, unless there's no time or visual so it would be called a Vehicle. All targets are to be considered enemy unless the word Friendly is in front of it.
When the SL calls for specifc movements he will call out which team is traveling which direction. For example. IF he calls for a horns attack, he may say Shield left, and that’s it “Horns, Shield Left” it is assumed that you realize that if shield is going left in a horns, then the sword is going (go figure) to the right. Other ones like Cover (tac cover) where the shield team stays back the only thing the squad leader would have to say is “Cover Right” telling the sword to flank the right side while the shield holds back to cover them.
We are trying to cut down on as much chatter as possible. Battle chat will be assumed as soon as the match begins and will remain in place during the duration of the game. Only if the Commander says free chat are people allowed to talk about ANY other topic.
