Jihad Jeeping
Into: What in the name of Asshatry is Jihad Jeeping?
Two gentlemen by the name of WNxInfernoed and WNxTheWeapon use to rant and
rave about Jihading and how fun it was. I used to scoff at the idea and
dismissed it as purely illogical banter on their parts. One day as I was
bored of tanking I decided to see what all the fuss was about. It started out
sloppy. I was just getting the hang of taking out enemy armor and myself at
the cost in doing so. Then I was taught the finer points of the Kamikaze
jeep. In a match we we’re going into sudden death with another clan who we
had lost too previously. They chose for us to be the same side (US on
Songhua). We had failed previously to try to capture their (Chinese) middle
base by bringing in a conventional armor column. I decided quickly that we
would send in a suicidal Jihad jeep in first and his mission was to weaken
their armor at all cost. Sure enough our armor column followed behind the
suicidal jihad jeep. He was able to take down their APC and hurt another
piece of armor in the process seeing as they had beat us there due to their
closer starting point. Our column rolled in uncontested and allowed us to win
the match on points. Many look down upon this practice because they are
fools. In warfare there really is no “fair” way of winning, the bottom line
IS winning. Here is a quick run down of some Jihad Jeep tips.
First off you need to choose the Spec Ops class for Jihad jeeping. Your
materials are usually plentiful. You already have one within your kit, C4.
The other requires a quick moving jeep however any vehicle can be used for
such treachery. The light jeeps (FAV or DPV) make the best vehicle of choice
because of it’s speed and it’s availability. You can find one at any base for
the most part. The C4 usually is put into the front of the jeep. How much you
use depends on what you are planning to do. If you are sure you can make it
out of the fray then put down two pieces of C4. By doing this you must be
careful to get your vehicle close enough to the target so you are assured of
the kill. The more C4 you put on, the bigger the explosion radios. It usually
only takes two C4 to dispose of an enemy armor unit.. Make sure that before
you embark on your run, to have your detonation device in hand so you don’t
waste time switching from your Primary to the detonation device. Time is of
the essence. There are two modes in which I classify Jihadist into.
1. The Suicidal Jihadist- This guy doesn’t care about points. He also
doesn’t care about being blown up in the process. The only thing he cares
about is his objective. If you know your going to die in the process of
jihading, your best bet is to strap all the C4 you have onto your jeep. You
can place it both in the front or the back for maximum blast radius or just
in the front. No matter what, your going to assuredly take something out.
There are two ways you can accomplish your mission. Either get close enough
to your enemy and quickly jump out and detonate your C4, or you can approach
your target and let them kill you hoping the blast radius is big enough. If
they don’t kill you running into them with a weakened jeep will do the trick.
2. The Skillfully Jihadist- This guys is a smooth operator who might suicide
in the process of the game, but assuredly his kills will be greater than this
deaths at the end of the round. He MIGHT even have positive team points. I
would also call this guy a commando. When he is done taking out the enemy he
might do some spec ops behind enemy lines using his spec ops gun. The key to
being a Skillful as opposed to Suicidal is using the element of surprise on
this enemy. The skillful gather enough speed and jump out at the last second
letting the momentum of their jeep head into their target and detonating the
C4. If the target is stationary he can run his vehicle right next to the
target and sprint out of distance then quickly detonate the C4. If your
target is moving and you are approaching from its south then you can run your
jeep along side it and pass it. Do it in a way to make their armor piece
T-Bone your jeep putting it in front of their tank. You should have gotten
out and let the momentum of the jeep intersect the enemy vehicle. If you jump
out and are successful then you will be safe enough to detonate the vehicle
taking out your target. Then you’re off with gun in hand and one less friend
in the world. Such is the sacrifice of the Skilled Jihadist.
