This map (though it may not look it) is totally even.  Both sides have nearly the same load outs and even the minor bases have similar assets.  The distances from the mains to the inner bases is roughly the same also.  Old City and the Refinery are essential due to the fact of the equipment they spawn.  Among other things, a tank and AA Vehicle each.  With the addition of  the AA vehicles at the main bases, that means at any given time there could be upwards of four AA vehicles moving around the map.  Add to this the 2 jets per side lurking up and down the map and the 3 AA turrets (two main, one center) and the air is ripe with lock-ons.

This is the map I did a test scenario on in flash (on page two) where the teams would most likely attack the closest bases then the Chinese would move on center while the US moved north to old city, then flanked backwards toward the center.  This looks pretty in the flash, but that was something I set up in May even before the demo was even out.  Both teams will most likely take the closest bases leaving the center for the battlefield.  Choppers have a tough time getting shots between the tankers there, and properly mined, tanks and other armored vehicles may check in, but not check out.

There are several choke points round this map entering bases where an ambitious engineer could rack up some simple mine kills on an unsuspecting enemy.  Though it’s important that the home team knows the location else you may get more kills than you were hoping.  Then north gate at the refinery is a fine blind spot to score enemy tanks rolling south.

Transport helicopters are huge buzzing targets for all the AA that is rolling around the map.  If you are going to be brave (stupid?) enough to use one, try and stick to the sides of the map where your side controls the most bases.  Venturing towards enemy owned territory to cap bases or wreak havoc, then head back to your own territory, and ALWAYS have an engineer on board because you WILL get shot up.
