VERSE 1:
So tell me what do you do when you close your eyes
Who do you pray to
When you look in the dark and you know someone’s out there
Dreaming of you
Do you know it’s me
BRIDGE:
And what else can I do, to get your attention
And who else could I love, the way I loved you
And where else could I go, to feed this addiction
That I’ve come to know so well, yet cannot deny
CHORUS:
Don’t want to rule your life
I’m not asking for your soul
Just stay with me a while
Here in the doorway, the doorway
VERSE 2:
I wish I could help you to help me to get through
All seeing, all knowing, still don’t know where we are going to
BRIDGE:
Where will you go tonight
Do you even know what’s right anymore
What do I do now that this love has gone
Tell me what did I do wrong, what did I do

Information: Well this is one of the ones that I'm putting a lot of hope into. When I first wrote it I couldn't believe how nicely the chorus turned out. Now it's a year later and it's been entered in no less than four national contests from Portland to Virgina. The chorus is taken almost word for word from something somebody told me once while standing in a doorway.
