VERSE 1:
Once upon a time down in Happitown there lived a man.
Played guitar all day just waiting to be found..
He had much bigger plans.
Was gonna get away.
Gonna hit the big time.
Oh the games he’d play.
Once he got out of Happitown.
VERSE 2:
One day he brought a woman down to Happitown.
And he gave her his life.
Although he never-ever thought that she would ever do him wrong.
Was gonna make her his wife.
But she couldn’t wait, for the date.
And she wasn’t sure, that he’d want her around anymore.
Once they got out of Happitown. And he would say...
CHORUS:
We could fly away. Fly away
We could fly away, from Happitown
Come with me today.
Perhaps we can get away.
We have lived our lives.
As we’ve been told.
We could stay right here.
And watch each other grow old.
The gravity of Happitown.
Will pull you in. And drag you down
BRIDGE: Oh
VERSE 3:
Now way on the other side of Happitown.
Is where she lives today.
And though it’s true she’s married, but it’s not to him.
He knows she’s better off anyway.
For although he loved her, he knew he’d have to leave her.
Someday.
To get out of Happitown.

Information: The neto bridge was only added in the past year. As to the story of the song? figure it out. It don't take a rocket scientist, etc. Paul loves this one and so do I.
VERSE 1:
Standing on the edge
Over the bottom of the world
A cool brease in a hot place
As the divers prepair for decent
Standing in line
Waiting for your turn
Waiting for your saviour
To saviour self from the burn
Chorus:
And hell's no compromise
There are no deals to be made
And if you believe otherwise
Then you are already there
You are already there, with me, right now
Here on earth
Hell on Earth
Hell's no compromise, it's no suprise
This world will not forget you
By the way I loved you
VERSE 2:
Standing at attention
The judges look your direction
The men in the dark climb out of the shadows
The pushers, by the way
But before they call your name
You swan dive, free fall into the fire
And it seems Christ was late to the party
Or forgot to call, your name
ENDING:
And if you walk upon the land
Say a prayer for me
Cos hell's no compromise

Performers: No version available,
Information: Truely one of the 'Hell on Earth' songs. Based wholy on my brother's idea of standing on the edge of the pit looking down into the abyss of hell and swan diving off into the fire. cool. I wrote the lyrics to this in New Jersy while the current band I was hangin with worked on tracks for 'Outlaws on the Trail' which we re-recorded over and over until our brains exploded and sprayed the walls with the goo within. But we're all feeling much better now I'm sure.
VERSE 1:
This world, has done nothing but lie to me
Oh no, what else could there possibly be
So much more, somewhere out there beyond this place
Waiting to find, a moment that you gained God’s grace
BRIDGE:
How many times have you been told
Everybody has a little bit of love in their heart
And when does it become old
To be Passé in your life every day
CHORUS:
You will not ever be hollow again, oh no
VERSE 2:
Morally, ethically, idealisticly bankrupt
I’ve come to the point now where I don’t even care
BRIDGE:
You can’t get blood from a stone
But believe me I can, and I have, and I will
And you think you should have known
But I tried, and I gave, and I still love you
but there’s nothing inside

Information: July 1995 after a wicked dry spell the tune for this came to me. My effects processer was broken so I was forced to use my acustic as is with no flang, delay, etc. Without the drums it is truely a strange sounding piece as I drove through the backroads of Chester County making up lyrics in the dark until eventually coming home and tracking the ones that ended up in the song.
VERSE 1:
Alone in his room
The penned up wishfull groom
He knows she will never be his wife
So he walks away on his wedding day
Off into his lonely life
She seems surprised, but smiles behind the vale
She takes it off
Her dress so white, so pale
He walks alone through the isles of the city
Her wedding march, april may, not ever
Not today
VERSE 2:
How lonely thou art
Alone, he knows she will never be his wife
So he walks away on his wedding day
Won't someone be with me tonight?
he asks the sky
Don't leave this boy alone tonight.
he throws the die
VERSE 3:
In his good suit, his failing pursuit
Miss Perfect just outside his door
She takes off, leaving our hero alone on the floor
No it would never be and he knew it from the start
So he walked away on his wedding day
How lonely thou art

Information: Written in 1991 along with a whole bunch of sequences that have been cast aside over time. The orignal version was recorded at 6:45 in the morning on a day I would eventualy craw through a friends window cos she locked herself out. I jumped in and fell on her bed full of spikey curlers. Would love to re-record this one but most likely will never happen.
